The French players’ union (UNFP) has expressed support for AC Milan midfielder Adrien Rabiot after he criticized UEFA’s decision to allow Milan’s Serie A home match against Como to be played in Perth, Australia, on February 8.
Rabiot described the move as “totally crazy,” arguing it was unfair to players and fans, while Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo dismissed his comments as ungrateful.
The UNFP defended Rabiot’s right to speak out, stating that freedom of expression is a fundamental principle for footballers and that his concerns reflect those of many players.
