NFF Suspends Three Referees Over Poor Officiating in NPFL Matches

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has indefinitely suspended three referees for poor officiating during Match Day 8 fixtures of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Mohammed B. Tuta from Adamawa and assistant referee Ben Japhet from Benue were sanctioned for misconduct during the Kano Pillars vs. Shooting Stars encounter.
Similarly, Ikechukwu Taiwo from Rivers State was punished for awarding an unjustified penalty in the Nasarawa United vs. Rangers match, as the NFF reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring fairness and integrity in the league.
