NBA Approves Timberwolves Sale to Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez After Lengthy Process

The NBA has officially approved the $1.5 billion sale of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx to Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez, ending a four-year saga that began with an agreement in 2021.
 
The league’s board of governors unanimously voted in favor of the ownership change, despite previous attempts by outgoing owner Glen Taylor to halt the deal.

 
 Lore and Rodriguez will be formally introduced as co-chairmen next month in Las Vegas during the NBA Summer League, with Lore named Timberwolves governor and Rodriguez assuming that role for the Lynx.
