​FIFA Mandates Female Coaches in Women’s Tournaments in Landmark Rule Change

FIFA has introduced a new rule requiring every team in women’s competitions to appoint a female head coach or assistant.

The regulation will apply across all youth, senior, and club tournaments, starting with upcoming events including the Under-20 Women’s World Cup.

The move aims to address the shortage of women in coaching roles, highlighted by the low number of female head coaches at recent major tournaments.
