Euro 2028: Hosts England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales Must Qualify with Only Two Guaranteed Spots
Posted : 21 May 2025
UEFA has confirmed that co-hosts England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales will take part in the Euro 2028 qualifiers, with only two automatic spots reserved for the best-performing hosts who fail to qualify directly.
The four nations will be drawn into separate qualifying groups, and if more than two hosts fail to advance, the others will miss out.
Final tournament places will also be decided through playoffs, depending on how many hosts need the reserved spots.
