Anthony Edwards Misses NBA Postseason Awards Eligibility After Ruling Out vs. Pistons

Posted : 03 April 2026

Anthony Edwards is now ineligible for NBA postseason awards after missing Thursday’s game and falling short of the 65‑game minimum.

Anthony Edwards will not be eligible for NBA postseason awards this season because the Minnesota Timberwolves ruled him out of Thursday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons due to a right knee injury and an illness, meaning he can’t reach the league’s 65‑game minimum.

He has appeared in 59 games this season, but only 58 count toward the NBA’s official games‑played total, and with just six regular‑season games left, he can no longer meet the requirement needed for award consideration.
