2025/2026 NPFL: Katsina United FC Loses Home Ground Following Crowd Violence

Posted : 21 November 2025

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) management has imposed a punitive measure requiring Katsina United FC to play all their remaining home fixtures for the 2025/2026 season at the George Inih Stadium in Ilorin.

The decision follows crowd disturbances during Katsina United’s home game against Barau FC, an incident that previously led to the club being relocated to the New Jos Stadium.

In a memo, the NPFL instructed Katsina United to use the Rashidi Yekini main bowl in Ilorin as their temporary home ground for the remainder of the campaign.
The Chanji Boys are set to face Enyimba in a Matchday 14 clash this weekend. Currently, Katsina United occupy 13th place on the NPFL table with 17 points.
