FIFA president Gianni Infantino announced at the Saudi Arabia-US Investment Forum 2025 in Riyadh that the organization is targeting $1 billion in revenue from future Women's World Cup tournaments.
The 2023 edition, held in Australia and New Zealand, broke even after generating over $570 million, and FIFA plans to reinvest future earnings into the women’s game.
Brazil is set to host the 2027 tournament—the first in South America—while the 2031 edition, likely in the U.S., will expand to 48 teams.
Infantino also emphasized the sport’s untapped economic potential beyond Europe, praising Saudi Arabia's strides in promoting women's football.
