Monaco captain Wissam Ben Yider is under investigation for sexual assault and rape

According to reports from France on Thursday, Wissam Ben Yider, the captain and star player of Monaco, is currently being investigated for allegations of sexual assault and rape.
 
Two young women, aged 19 and 20, have filed a complaint with the police, accusing Ben Yider and his younger brother of coercing them into performing sexual acts at the end of an evening they all spent together earlier in the week. The investigation is still ongoing, and no arrests or hearings have taken place at this time.
 
Wissam Ben Yider, 32, has been playing as a striker for Monaco since 2019, while his brother is 25 years old. In the previous season, Ben Yider scored 25 goals and provided seven assists in 43 appearances across all competitions for Monaco.
 
He had also previously played for Sevilla, making 19 appearances and scoring three goals while representing the French national team.
