Luka Dončić, Ex-Fiancée Move Toward Private Resolution as Child Support Petition Is Withdrawn

Luka Dončić's ongoing legal dispute with his former fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, has taken a significant turn after she withdrew her child support petition filed in the Superior Court of Los Angeles. The filing, which had sought child support and attorney fees, was dismissed ahead of a scheduled court hearing as Goltes expressed her intention to resolve the matter through a mutual agreement focused on the welfare of their children.

In her court submission, Goltes stated that she wished to settle the issue amicably and in the best interests of the couple's two daughters. The move suggests both parties are exploring a private resolution rather than continuing with legal proceedings in California, although the withdrawal does not necessarily prevent future legal action if an agreement cannot be reached.

Goltes, who lives in Slovenia with the couple's daughters, initially filed the petition earlier this year. Dončić had challenged the California case, arguing that family matters, including custody and child support, should be handled in Slovenia, where separate legal proceedings remain ongoing. Sources indicate that custody issues continue to be addressed under the jurisdiction of Slovenian courts.

The Los Angeles Lakers star has repeatedly emphasized that his children remain his highest priority. Earlier this year, Dončić announced he would forgo representing Slovenia in FIBA World Cup qualifying games in order to spend more time with his daughters during the offseason while continuing efforts to secure joint custody.

As Dončić prepares for the upcoming NBA season, he is also expected to host his Lakers teammates in Ljubljana later this month for a preseason minicamp. The gathering is designed to strengthen team chemistry before training camp begins, allowing the All-Star guard to remain close to his family while preparing for the new campaign
