Liverpool and Adidas Reveal Retro-Inspired Away Kit for the 2026/27 Season
Posted : 04 August 2026
Liverpool FC and adidas have officially launched the club's away kit for the 2026/27 campaign, unveiling a design that pays tribute to one of the Reds' most iconic eras.
Inspired by the away shirts worn between 1985 and 1988, the new jersey blends vintage styling with modern performance technology, celebrating a period that produced some of the club's most memorable teams and achievements.
The shirt features a crisp white base accented by strawberry red and grey details, recreating the classic look of Liverpool's mid-1980s away kits.
A standout feature is the return of the heritage Liver Bird crest alongside the adidas Trefoil logo, reinforcing the connection to the club's rich history.
The V-neck collar, coordinated sleeve cuffs and signature adidas three stripes complete a timeless design with a contemporary finish.
Adding a unique historical touch, adidas has incorporated an engineered pattern into the fabric inspired by vintage Anfield match tickets and season passes. The subtle detailing honours generations of Liverpool supporters while giving the jersey a distinctive texture that reflects the club's heritage beyond the pitch.
Despite its nostalgic appearance, the away shirt is built with the latest performance innovations. Lightweight engineered materials and adidas' CLIMACOOL+ technology are designed to improve ventilation, regulate body temperature and maximise comfort during matches.
The full away kit is completed with strawberry red shorts and white socks, creating a cohesive look for the 2026/27 season. The jersey is available through official Liverpool FC and adidas retail outlets.
