Houston Rockets' Kevin Porter Jr. faces serious assault charges in alleged hotel attack on WNBA player

Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. faces serious charges of assault and strangulation in connection with an alleged attack on his girlfriend, WNBA player Kaiser Gondarzik, during their stay at a hotel. Gondarzik was subsequently hospitalized due to suspected fractures sustained during the incident. The NYPD arrested Porter Jr. following a complaint filed by Gondarzik.

The alleged assault occurred during the night between Sunday and Monday at the Millennium Hotel near Times Square. The situation escalated when Porter Jr., aged 23, was locked out of their hotel room. Reports suggest that hotel security was called to intervene even before the police became involved.

Notably, this is not the first time Porter Jr. has faced legal trouble. He has a history that includes previous arrests for illegal weapon use, assaulting two women outside a nightclub, and a physical altercation with his former general manager at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
