Posted : 15 May 2026

Dai Dai has been announced as the official anthem of the FIFA World Cup 2026, with the release tied to a major global initiative supporting education for children worldwide. The project is being carried out in partnership with FIFA and Global Citizen, aiming to raise USD 100 million by the end of the tournament for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

As part of the campaign, Colombian superstar Shakira has joined forces with FIFA and Global Citizen to expand access to education in underserved communities. Her royalties from the official song will be donated directly to the education fund, while Sony Music has committed to matching the first USD 250,000 raised.

In another historic development, Shakira is set to co-headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show on Sunday, 19 July. The performance will bring together global artists in a landmark moment that blends sport, music, and social impact, highlighting the tournament’s broader cultural significance.

Alongside these announcements, the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album continues to take shape with the release of singles such as Lighter, Por Ella, Echo, and Illuminate. More tracks are expected in the coming weeks as anticipation builds toward the global event.

Featuring artists from different continents and musical styles, the growing soundtrack reflects the diversity and unity of the World Cup. It aims to connect fans worldwide through music while reinforcing the tournament’s message of inclusion and shared global experience.
