In a remarkable comeback, Zheng Qinwen overcame a shaky start to defeat Russian Anna Kalinskaya 6-7(4), 6-3, 6-1, securing her place in the Australian Open semifinals for the first time. The Chinese 12th seed initially faced challenges, with both players displaying nervous moments and trading breaks.

 

Despite Kalinskaya clinching the first set with a big backhand, Zheng regrouped and broke her opponent for a 5-3 lead in the second set, ultimately leveling the match and showcasing top-quality tennis.
