WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2024: Exciting Lineup Ready for Action

The WTT Series gears up for another thrilling event with WTT Star Contender Ljubljana 2024 Presented by I Feel Slovenia, promising an exciting lineup of stars vying for victory. Hala Tivoli will host the action, with qualifying matches scheduled from June 11-12 and the main draw unfolding from June 13-16.

 

Competitors will battle it out for the prestigious titles and a share of the USD 250,000 prize pool, with the champions also earning 600 ITTF World Ranking Points.

 

Returning Champions: Felix Lebrun and Cheng I-Ching, who clinched their maiden titles earlier this year in Goa, are back for more. Lebrun leads the Men's Singles as the top seed, while Cheng is seeded 7th, both eager to secure consecutive victories. With qualifying yet to determine their opponents, they aim to improve on their previous performances, eyeing a strong start in Ljubljana.

 

Local Hero Spotlight: Darko Jorgic, the hometown favorite, is set to draw massive support from the crowd as he seeks his breakthrough in the WTT Series. Despite not securing a title yet, Jorgic is determined to surpass his previous round of 16 exit in Ljubljana 2023. Inspired by recent successes, including Hugo Calderano's triumph in Rio de Janeiro, Jorgic aims for a memorable run at Hala Tivoli.

 

Hina Hayata's Dominance: Hina Hayata arrives in Ljubljana on a hot streak, having clinched titles and impressive finishes in recent WTT events. With top seeding and momentum from her recent victory at WTT Contender Zagreb, she aims for another triumph, posing a formidable challenge to her competitors. All eyes will be on her as she aims to continue her winning streak.
