The revamped venue sets the stage for what is being dubbed a “Festival of Table Tennis,” an action-packed sporting celebration spanning 20 days from July 16 to August 5, 2025.
This exciting stretch of events will feature a prestigious lineup, including the ITTF Africa West Regional Championships, WTT Contender Lagos, ITTF Africa Youth Championships, and the first-ever ITTF Africa Youth Cup.
As one of Africa's and the world’s premier table tennis destinations, Lagos is poised to welcome top-tier talent from across West Africa, the continent, and beyond. The festival begins with the ITTF Africa West Regional Championships, scheduled for July 16–19, where regional champions will emerge in both singles and team events.
Next, from July 22 to 26, attention turns to the WTT Contender Lagos, which will feature international stars battling for $100,000 in prize money and crucial ranking points across five events. The increased prize pool has drawn a high-caliber roster, promising thrilling competition throughout the five-day event.
From July 27 to August 3, the spotlight shifts to the future of African table tennis with the 2025 ITTF Africa Youth Championships. The tournament, comprising 14 events, will showcase the continent’s most promising young players.
The festival will conclude with the ITTF Africa Youth Cup on August 4 and 5, offering another major platform for emerging stars to demonstrate their talent and contend for continental honors.
Throughout the three-week period, fans can look forward to electrifying matches, enthusiastic crowds, and the vibrant atmosphere for which Lagos is renowned. With top players, high stakes, and world-class organization, this year’s festival promises to be a defining moment in African table tennis.
