Sakkari Stuns Swiatek and Mboko Upsets Rybakina on TotalEnergies Open

Day 5 of the TotalEnergies Open 2026 in Doha produced some of the most dramatic results of the tournament so far, with two major upsets reshaping the latter stages of the WTA 1000 event as the draw narrowed to the semifinals.

Greek veteran Maria Sakkari stunned top seed Iga Świątek in a thrilling quarterfinal clash, rebounding from an opening set loss to win 2‑6, 6‑4, 7‑5.
