Nigerian tennis prospect Seun Ogunsakin has advanced to the quarter-finals of the boys' doubles event at the Wimbledon Championships after an impressive victory alongside Botswana's Ntungamili Raguin.
The African duo overcame the American pair of Safir Azam and Vihaan Reddy in a thrilling three-set contest to book their place in the last eight of the prestigious junior tournament.
Ogunsakin and Raguin made a flying start, dominating the opening set 6-1 with aggressive shot-making and excellent court coverage.
The Americans responded strongly to take the second set 6-3 and force a deciding match tie-break.
Undeterred, the African pair regained control in emphatic fashion, racing to a commanding 10-1 victory in the tie-break to wrap up the contest and continue their impressive Wimbledon campaign.
The result represents another major achievement for Ogunsakin, who has continued to enhance his growing reputation on the international junior circuit.
The Nigerian and his Botswana partner will now turn their attention to the quarter-finals as they bid for a place in the last four of the boys' doubles competition.
