Britain's Heather Watson and her doubles partner Linda Noskova faced a tough defeat in the Abu Dhabi Open final, falling 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) to the American pair of Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Sofia Kenin. Despite a strong effort, Watson and Noskova couldn't secure victory as their opponents sealed the match in the tie-break of the second set.

Meanwhile, at the Transylvania Open, Harriet Dart and Tereza Mihalikova of Slovakia experienced a 6-3, 6-4 loss in the final against the United States' Caty McNally and Asia Muhammad. The American duo proved to be formidable, denying Dart and Mihalikova the title.

Earlier in the week, Harriet Dart had an impressive run at the Cluj tournament, reaching her first singles semi-final on the WTA Tour. Although she fell to Karolina Pliskova in the semi-final, Dart's performance helped her climb back into the top 100 of the world rankings, showcasing her resilience and skill on the court.

In the singles final of the Abu Dhabi Open, world number five Elena Rybakina dominated with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Daria Kasatkina. The top-seeded Kazakh player secured her seventh career title in Doha, completing the match in just 68 minutes against her Russian opponent.
