Harrison, Skupski Complete Australian Open-US Open Double

American Christian Harrison and Britain’s Neal Skupski have added another major title to their impressive 2026 campaign after defeating Germany’s Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz in the US Open men’s doubles final on Saturday.

The fifth seeds secured a 6–4, 7–6(6) victory at Flushing Meadows to claim their second Grand Slam title of the year, following their triumph at the Australian Open in January.

Their success places them among the select teams to win both the Australian Open and US Open in the same year. They are the sixth team in the Open Era to achieve the feat, while becoming only the third men’s doubles team to complete the US Open without dropping a set.

Harrison and Skupski took control of the opening set after securing a crucial break before holding their advantage to lead 1–0. They then held their nerve in a tightly contested second set, eventually prevailing in the tiebreak to seal the championship.

The victory was particularly significant for Skupski, who had finished runner-up in his previous two US Open finals, in 2022 with Wesley Koolhof and in 2025 alongside Joe Salisbury.

“I’m still in shock,” Skupski said after the victory. “Losing twice and having match points in the final, it was a tough part of my career. It’s amazing what a year does in tennis.”

For Harrison, the triumph capped a remarkable return to the top level after spending more than eight years away from the sport. The American also celebrated winning a major title on home soil.

The championship was presented by Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares, who won the US Open doubles title together 10 years ago.

Harrison and Skupski’s partnership has proved highly successful in its first season, with the Australian Open and US Open titles giving them two of the biggest prizes in men’s doubles tennis in 2026.
