Nigeria’s top table tennis star, Aruna Quadri, is set to make another mark on the international scene as he prepares to compete in the upcoming World Table Tennis (WTT) Contender event in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Quadri, who holds the title of Africa's highest-ranked male player on the WTT circuit, will be joined by other African athletes, including Egypt’s rising star, Hana Goda.
He remains the sole male representative from Africa in the prestigious tournament, while 18-year-old Goda is the only African female player competing. Their presence highlights Africa’s growing prominence in global table tennis.
Hana Goda, known for her fearless playing style and composure beyond her years, has rapidly gained international attention. Ranked among the top young female players worldwide, she continues to challenge elite competitors and shatter expectations.
Aruna Quadri, Africa’s most decorated male table tennis player, enters the tournament with his signature combination of power, agility, and unrelenting determination. A veteran of the sport’s global circuit, he has consistently led the charge for African athletes, often taking on and defeating top-ranked players from Asia and Europe.
Their participation in Ljubljana is more than a personal milestone; it represents a significant moment for African table tennis. With skill, pride, and ambition, Quadri and Goda aim to make a lasting impression—not only for themselves but also for the millions of fans and aspiring players they inspire across the continent.
