The 16-year-old, who had earlier defeated Alieke van Zyl 4&2 in the round of 32, showcased her resilience with a series of birdies and an eagle on the third hole.
A well-executed punch shot on the 18th secured her place in the quarterfinals, where she expressed excitement about her strong performance and determination to advance further.
Lisa Coetzer also made a strong statement, overcoming Alexis Toriani 5&4 before edging past Zané Kleynhans 1-up in the round of 16. The 14-year-old highlighted the mental shift required for match play, emphasizing the importance of long putts in maintaining momentum.
Acknowledging the difficulty of competing against a close friend, Coetzer expressed confidence in her aggressive match play strategy, believing in her ability to make a deep run despite the nerves of reaching the quarterfinals for the first time.
Meanwhile, Olivia Wood and Lourenda Steyn secured impressive wins to book their spots in the next round, with Wood overcoming Bobbi Brown 2&1 and Steyn dominating Maegan Webster 4&3. Defending champion Gia Raad comfortably advanced with back-to-back victories, while GolfRSA No. 1 Kesha Louw also progressed.
Other quarterfinalists include Olivia Tait and Megan Marais, while the flight division sees matchups between Isabella Obray and Odette Booysen, and Jaden Visagie against Lonique Jansen van Vuuren, with twin sisters Ame and Lea van der Merwe aiming to set up a semifinal clash.
