Tillie Claggett Wins GolfBC Group BC Women’s Open to Secure CPKC Entry

Posted : 14 June 2026

Team Canada amateur Tillie Claggett produced a commanding performance to capture the GolfBC Group BC Women’s Open title on Saturday. The Calgary native led the tournament from the opening day to finish three strokes clear of her nearest challengers at the Nicklaus North Golf Course.

Claggett entered the final round of the 54-hole championship holding a slim two-stroke advantage. Fellow national team members Nobelle Park and Ann Sophie Bougault applied pressure as they sat at even par. Claggett maintained her composure throughout the day to protect her lead before a birdie on the final hole capped off her triumph.

The victory marks Claggett's second historical win within the national championship series. She previously secured the PGA Women’s Championship of Canada title during the summer of 2025.

The champion completed the three-day event with a 3-under par total score of 210. Her consistent rounds of 68, 71, and 71 featured thirteen birdies and a single eagle. This display also earned her the Audi Precision Award for the week's most clinical performance.

With this win, Claggett books her spot in the 2026 CPKC Women’s Open. The premier LPGA Tour event is scheduled to take place at the Royal Mayfair Golf and Country Club in Edmonton this August.

The Whistler event serves as the opening leg of the newly expanded She Plays Golf Championship Series. Players accumulate points across three national events to contest a season-long Order of Merit.

Claggett collected 2,200 points for her victory to take the early lead in the standings. Runners-up Park and Bougault each received 1,300 points for their joint second-place finishes. The highest remaining point scorer at the end of the series will secure a separate exemption into Canada’s National Women’s Open.

The competitive field featured sixty professional golfers and elite amateurs competing for a 60,000 Canadian Dollar prize purse. The circuit now shifts to Calgary for the Peloton Glencoe Invitational from June 18 to 20. The final qualifying spot will be decided at the PGA Women’s Championship of Canada in July.
