Falcon Golf Development Company has secured significant backing from TCL Technology and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) for the 2026 World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC). Several major corporate entities and private individuals have also expressed interest in the upcoming tournament. Chief Executive Officer of Falcon Golf, Remi Olukoya, confirmed these partnerships during a media briefing this week.
The collaboration aims to merge elite sporting competition with strategic corporate networking. TCL is participating in conjunction with Sims Nigeria Limited to showcase advanced innovations. These include their latest inverter air conditioning units and cutting-edge QD-Mini LED television technology. The brand focuses on improving the lifestyle of participants through meaningful and accessible electronic solutions.
The 2026 edition of the WCGC features an impressive roster of sponsors beyond TCL and the NCDMB. Other confirmed partners include Banwo & Ighodalo, NSITF, Pepsi, and Jotun Paints. Globus Bank, First Bank, and Davisther Insurance Brokers are also supporting the event. Olukoya noted that the involvement of these organizations makes the WCGC a mandatory event for serious golfers.
The tournament structure has been redesigned to maximize networking opportunities on the green. It promises a comprehensive weekend experience that includes professional competition, relaxation, and high-quality entertainment. Organizers view the event as a premier hub for the Nigerian corporate community to build lasting professional relationships.
The Nigerian leg of the 2026 WCGC will be hosted at the Ikoyi Club 1938 Golf Section in Lagos. This local qualifying event is scheduled to take place from May 29 to May 31, 2026. Successful participants will then move on to the international stage to represent their organizations.
The World Finals are set to be held at the Beijing Qinghe Bay Golf Country Club in China. This global climax will run from October 19 to October 23, 2026. This timeline gives Nigerian corporate golfers several months to prepare for the transition from the highbrow Lagos course to the international greens in Beijing.
