NCF Coach Steve Tikolo Resigns by Mutual Consent

The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has announced the departure of Steve Tikolo, who served as the Head Coach of the Senior Men's National Team and High-Performance Manager, effective immediately.

The Federation's Public Relations Officer, Musa Bodie, stated that Coach Tikolo's disengagement was reached through a mutual agreement, marking the culmination of nearly 40 months of dedicated service.

Throughout his tenure, Tikolo consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment to nurturing talent, fostering teamwork, instilling discipline, and contributing significantly to the growth and professionalism of the squad.

Under his leadership, the team achieved notable improvements in ICC T20 rankings, rising from 42nd to 37th position. Additionally, Nigeria has emerged as a dominant force in West Africa and shown increased competitiveness against higher-ranked East African teams.

Uyi Akpata, President of the Federation, said:
"The Board and Management of NCF extend their sincere appreciation to Steve for his unwavering commitment and dedication over the past three years. His on-field results have been outstanding, but it is the culture of discipline, hard work, passion, and dedication that will have a lasting impact."

Steve Tikolo expressed his gratitude, saying:
"I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with the Nigeria Cricket Federation and for the support I received from the players, staff, and management. I leave with positive memories and great optimism that the team will continue to improve."
