Heading into the Joburg Ladies Open, South Africa’s Casandra Alexander aims to conquer both the enigmatic Modderfontein Golf Club and the challenge of converting her consistent performances on the Sunshine Ladies Tour into an overall Investec Order of Merit victory.

 

Despite already securing a win at the Absa Ladies Invitational this season, Alexander seeks to elevate her game further in a tournament that has attracted top professionals from the Ladies European Tour, featuring competitors from 37 countries and boasting 24 winners on the LET.

 

Expressing her excitement for the week ahead, Alexander reflects on her familiarity with Modderfontein Golf Club from her past experiences playing school golf and casual rounds with friends. While she acknowledges her ongoing quest to unlock the secrets of the course, she remains optimistic about the tournament's growth and her prospects in the Joburg Ladies Open, an event she previously won in 2021.

 

For Alexander, deciphering the nuances of Modderfontein Golf Club this week could pave the way for her pursuit of the overall Investec Order of Merit title. Having consistently finished in the top three of the Order of Merit over the past three seasons, she currently sits in seventh place with two tournaments remaining.
