One of Africa’s greatest scrabble players, Oluwatimilehin Doko, has confirmed his participation in the fifth edition of the Emmanuel Egbele Annual Scrabble Tournament (EEAST).
Fresh off winning gold at the just-concluded National Sports Festival (NSF), tagged Gateway Games 2024, where he represented Team Ogun, the continental champion expressed his readiness to face off with some of the top-ranked players in a thrilling two-day scrabble showdown.
Organisers of the EEAST have announced over ₦5 million as the total prize pool, with ₦700,000 earmarked as the star prize for the Masters (Elites) category.
The competition will feature three categories:

The Nigeria Scrabble Federation- and PANASA-rated tournament will take place at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on July 5–6, 2025. The registration deadline is July 1.
