Safety Babes have all but won the women's category league following their emphatic victory over Bendel Dynamos on Day 9 of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024, Phase 2, in Lagos.
Safety Babes, who haven't lost a handball match in the league for over two years, have virtually sealed their unprecedented fourth title and fifth title overall following their dominant 50-27 victory over bottom-placed Bendel Dynamos.

This means that they are set to be crowned champions of the Ardova Handball Premier League for a historic fourth consecutive time, all things being equal.
They first won the league in the 2019 season.
In other matches in the women's category, Delta Queens remain out of the relegation zone as they defeated COAS Babes 35-24, leaving the Nigeria Army team in the relegation zone. Plateau Peacocks defeated Rima Queens 27-25.
Imo Grasshoppers used their experience to beat Rivers Queens 35-32, while Defender Babes claimed a 36-28 victory over Seasider Babes of Lagos.
In the men's category, Lagos Seasiders, unlike their female counterparts, defeated D.Defender 18-14. Tojemarine of Lagos continued to lead the standings as they defeated Sunshine Kings of Akure 36-25, atoning for their loss to Safety Shooters on Day 7.
Rima Strikers comfortably defeated Corrections Boys 41-25 to put pressure on Tojemarine for the title, while Benue Buffaloes and Kano Pillars played out a 20-20 draw.
Defending champion Niger United defeated Adamawa Warriors 28-25.
