The partnership with Raytiding Consulting Ltd. and the Akwa Ibom State Football Association highlights the role of collaboration in advancing sports education. Such partnerships can help expand access to professional training and encourage the adoption of improved coaching practices across different levels of sport.
The ceremony will recognise the participants' commitment to learning and professional development. It also reinforces the importance of continuous training in preparing coaches for the changing demands of modern sports.
The programme aligns with the development priorities of NIS Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, Philip Shaibu. His agenda places emphasis on quality coaching, institutional development and a stronger contribution to national sports growth.

Structured certification programmes provide opportunities for coaches to update their knowledge, improve their technical abilities and strengthen their professional credentials.
The graduation in Uyo will mark the completion of the programme's first cohort. It also provides an opportunity for the NIS and its partners to reinforce their commitment to professional sports education and capacity building.
As the participants prepare to receive their certificates, the institute is positioning coaching development as an important part of efforts to improve Nigeria's sporting performance. The programme is expected to contribute to the development of coaches who can support athletes, strengthen talent identification and promote sustainable growth across the country's sporting system.
