Nigeria Volleyball Begins New Era as Masajedi Set for Official Unveiling

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) will usher in a new era on Tuesday with the official unveiling of Japanese coach Ryan Masajedi as the head coach of Nigeria's national volleyball teams.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Indoor Sports Hall, Package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, and is expected to attract key stakeholders in the country's sporting community.

Masajedi's appointment forms part of the federation's broader strategy to strengthen the technical capacity of the national teams and enhance Nigeria's competitiveness in continental and international volleyball.

The Japanese tactician is expected to introduce a coaching philosophy centred on technical excellence, tactical discipline, and modern playing methods as the national teams intensify preparations for future international assignments, including the African Nations Cup.

The unveiling ceremony will be attended by officials of the National Sports Commission, executives of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, athletes, coaches, development partners, stakeholders, and members of the media.

The federation described the event as the beginning of a fresh chapter for Nigerian volleyball, expressing confidence that Masajedi's experience and technical expertise will help drive the sport to greater success.

Volleyball enthusiasts and members of the sporting public have also been invited to witness the unveiling as the NVBF sets its sights on building stronger national teams capable of competing consistently at the highest level.

The appointment of Ryan Masajedi represents a significant step in the Nigeria Volleyball Federation's efforts to raise the standard of the sport in the country.
