Nigeria unveils 14-man squad for 2026 Zone 3 Volleyball Qualifiers

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has unveiled a 14-man Senior Men's National Team squad for the 2026 CAVB African Nations Cup Zone 3 Qualifiers scheduled to be held in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, from July 13 to 19.

The team, led by Head Coach Taiwo Oladipupo, will compete against other Zone 3 nations with the objective of securing one of the qualification slots for the 2026 CAVB African Nations Cup.

According to the federation, the selected players were chosen based on their consistency, discipline, and impressive performances, reflecting the country's determination to make a strong impact at the regional qualifying tournament.

The squad comprises Jaiyeola Abdul Quadri, Vincent Mathias, Moral Jibril, Tiamiyu Ismail, Hassan Abednego, Kazeem Mutiu, Ibe Bruno, Ozokoye Pascal, Ogunshina Obayemi, Emmanuel Udah, Anele Timothy, Ezeofor Amstrong, Oforah Izuchukwu, and Adeniyi Favour.

Oladipupo will be assisted by Yohanna Twevini and Jonah Adamu on the technical bench as Nigeria seeks to earn qualification for the continental championship.

The NVBF congratulated the players and officials on their selection and charged them to uphold the values of discipline, commitment, and patriotism while representing the country.

The federation also expressed optimism that the team possesses the quality required to excel in Abidjan and secure Nigeria's place at the 2026 African Nations Cup. The qualifiers present another opportunity for the national team to demonstrate its progress and compete for a place among the continent's top volleyball nations. A successful campaign in Côte d'Ivoire would mark another important step in Nigeria's quest for continental success.
