The brave Nigeria Women U-19 team secured a historic two-run win over the New Zealand Women U-19 team.


It was a very competitive contest, and in the end, Nigeria Women U-19 came out on top as the better side.


The Nigeria Women U-19 National Cricket Team batted first after the match started with a delay.


The T20 match was restricted to 13 overs per side after rain interrupted play. Nigeria Women U-19 scored 65/6 while batting first in 13 overs. The New Zealand Women U-19 National Cricket Team was unable to chase the target in the allotted overs and fell short by a couple of runs.


Nigeria Women U-19 secured two points after a two-run win via the DLS method, moving to the top of Group C standings in the ICC Women’s U-19 World Cup 2025.
