Ikoyi Golf Agog as 81 Golfers Set for Nigeria Maritime Challenge

The prestigious Ikoyi Club 1938 golf course is set to host the inaugural Nigeria Maritime Golf Challenge today, attracting 81 golfers from across the country in celebration of World Maritime Day.

 

According to Lanre Bayewu, Chief Executive Officer of QUBES LLC and organiser of the one-day event, the competition is themed “Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity” and aims to spotlight Nigeria’s maritime industry through sport.

 

 The tournament will feature seven categories, including Longest Drive, Nearest Pin, Female Winners, Veterans, General, Maritime, and Overall Best Gross, with trophies and cash prizes up for grabs.

 

Top executives from Nigeria’s leading maritime agencies, including NIMASA and the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, are expected at the event, which also seeks to foster networking opportunities and strengthen professional ties within the maritime sector while promoting the industry on a global sporting stage.
