The Nigeria Senior Women’s Cricket Team lost by six runs to Zimbabwe HPC in their first game at the ongoing 11th Kwibuka Women’s Tournament in Kigali, Rwanda.
Nigeria won the toss and opted to field first at the Gahanga B Cricket Oval.
The team limited Zimbabwe to 98 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, Nigeria managed 92 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs, falling short by six runs.
Nigeria will face Brazil on Wednesday in the nine-nation tournament.
The annual Kwibuka Tournament is held in remembrance of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis in Rwanda.
