Nigeria Customs Appoint Abdulquadri Jaiyeola as Alternate Captain

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has appointed Abdulquadri Jaiyeola as the alternate captain of its men's volleyball team ahead of the second phase of the 2026 CGC Volleyball Premier League.

The appointment forms part of the club's preparations for the next stage of the season as the former league champions continue their push for another domestic title. The decision also strengthens the team's leadership structure ahead of the resumption of league action.

Jaiyeola, one of the squad's experienced players, is expected to work closely with the team captain by providing leadership both on and off the court. His new role will include supporting the coaching staff, motivating teammates and stepping into leadership responsibilities whenever required during matches.

The Nigeria Customs coaching crew believes the addition of Jaiyeola to the leadership group will enhance communication within the team and help maintain discipline during the demanding second phase of the campaign.

Nigeria Customs remain one of the most successful clubs in Nigerian volleyball and are determined to challenge strongly for the 2026 CGC Volleyball Premier League title.
