Nigeria Book U20 World Cup Ticket After 28-23 Victory Over Guinea

Nigeria have secured qualification for the IHF U20 World Championship after defeating Guinea 28-23 in the quarter-finals of the 2026 African U20 Men's Handball Championship in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The Nigerian team recorded the crucial five-goal victory on Wednesday, September 9, to secure one of the available places at the global youth tournament. The result also keeps Nigeria's continental title hopes alive.

Nigeria produced a controlled performance during key stages of the quarter-final. The team managed to withstand Guinea's challenge and maintained its advantage through the closing stages to complete a 28-23 victory.
