NBSL Super Four: Niger BSC Complete Remarkable Journey to Championship Stage

Niger BSC have completed a remarkable journey from disappointment to the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) Super Four Finals, securing a historic maiden appearance at the championship stage.

The Niger-based club booked their place after finishing third in the regular-season standings in Kaduna, where they amassed nine points from six matches.

Their qualification represents a major turnaround for a side whose previous campaign was derailed by an accident, forcing them to miss the competition entirely.

Niger BSC returned to action in the 2025 season but narrowly missed out on qualification for the Super Four Finals in Abuja.

Their persistence finally paid off this season as they secured one of the four coveted places in the championship playoffs.

They will now face three-time champions Kebbi Fishers BSC, 2022 champions Kada BSC and fellow debutants Ibom BSC in the battle for the NBSL crown.

A major contributor to Niger BSC’s impressive campaign was Hassan Abubakar, who finished the regular season with 11 goals.

Interestingly, all of Abubakar’s goals came during the second round of the competition in Kaduna, underlining his importance to the team’s late-season surge.

With their first Super Four appearance now secured, Niger BSC will be hoping their impressive turnaround continues as they seek to cap their breakthrough campaign with a memorable challenge for the league title.
