Joaquin Niemann delivered a flawless performance at the Grange Golf Club in Australia, shooting a bogey-free seven-under-par 65 to claim the LIV Golf Adelaide title by three strokes. The 26-year-old Chilean golfer began the final round trailing by three shots but quickly gained momentum with four birdies on the front nine. His impressive display secured his third LIV Golf title with a 13-under total, distancing himself from the competition as his rivals faltered under pressure.
Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz, who had entered the final round tied for the lead with England’s Sam Horsfield, struggled to maintain their advantage. Both Mexican golfers carded one-under 71s, finishing three shots behind Niemann at 10 under par.
Ancer, part of the Fireballs team alongside Sergio Garcia, Luis Masaveu, and David Puig, celebrated a team victory, finishing six strokes ahead of Jon Rahm's Legion XIII. Garcia acknowledged the mixed emotions of the day, noting that while Ancer had played well, securing both the individual and team titles would have been ideal.
The final round saw a tense battle between Niemann and Ancer until Ancer's costly mistakes on the closing holes gave the Chilean room to seal his win. Ancer dropped his first shot on the 14th, briefly recovered with a birdie on the 16th, but lost ground again with a bogey on the 17th.
Horsfield, who had started the day tied for the lead at nine under, struggled with a three-over 75, slipping to a share of seventh place. Northern Ireland’s Tom McKibbin joined him in that position after posting a final-round 69.
