In an official statement, the NBSL management cited unforeseen circumstances beyond its control as the reason for the shift in schedule. Despite the delay, preparations for the continuation of the league are ongoing, and teams have been encouraged to remain focused and maintain their training programs.
“We are working closely with the Kaduna State Government and the Kaduna State Beach Soccer Association to finalize all necessary arrangements for the rescheduled fixtures,” the statement read.
The First Round of the 2025 season was successfully held in Birnin Kebbi, with Kebbi Fishers BSC and Kada BSC currently topping Groups A and B respectively.
The NBSL reiterated its commitment to the growth of beach soccer in Nigeria and assured fans, teams, partners, and stakeholders of its determination to deliver a successful and exciting season despite the scheduling changes.
“We remain committed to promoting beach soccer across Nigeria and providing a professional and entertaining experience for all involved,” the league added.
As the league works toward finalizing a new date, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be an intense and competitive second round in Kaduna.
