Japan’s Miyu Yamashita delivered a remarkable performance on Sunday, shooting a course-record nine-under-par 63 to secure victory at the 2026 Aramco Korea Championship by three strokes. The world No. 5 finished the tournament at 22-under-par, capping an impressive week at New Korea Country Club.
Yamashita maintained control of the competition after taking the lead at the halfway stage. She continued her consistent form in the final round, recording another bogey-free performance to keep her challengers at bay.
The Japanese golfer made a strong start with birdies on the third, fifth, eighth and 10th holes, putting herself in a favourable position with seven holes remaining. However, Czech golfer Sara Kouskova mounted a serious challenge as the final round unfolded.
Kouskova also carded a course-record 63, finishing at 19-under-par to claim second place outright. Despite the pressure, Yamashita produced a decisive finish, recording three birdies across four holes before making an eagle on the 17th to secure her fourth victory of 2026.
Hong Kong’s Ginnie Ding and Chinese Taipei’s Yani Tseng shared third place after completing the tournament at 16-under-par. Meanwhile, American Anna Morgan and Australian Stephanie Bunque, both rookies on the Ladies European Tour (LET), finished joint fifth at 14-under-par.
China’s Ruixin Liu and South Korea’s Hyo Joo Kim shared seventh place on 13-under-par. Italy’s Roberta Liti and France’s Céline Herbin-Marshall completed the top 10, finishing one stroke further back.
Yamashita’s triumph marked her second title on the Ladies European Tour, following her victory at the 2025 AIG Women’s Open. She expressed delight at the result, crediting her confident ball-striking and putting for helping her produce such a strong final round.
In the LET Order of Merit standings, South Africa’s Casandra Alexander remains in front with 2,956.48 points, ahead of Canada’s Anna Huang and Australia’s Kelsey Bennett. Kouskova climbed from 13th to eighth following her runner-up finish, while Morgan moved to 12th.
The LET will take a one-week break before its Asian swing resumes with the Hero Women’s Indian Open, scheduled for October 22–25 at DLF Golf & Country Club.
