Day 2 of the Championship League Snooker Winners Group in Leicester saw Mark Selby cement his dominance by successfully defending his title and completing a historic three-peat at the invitational event.
Selby defeated Wu Yize 3–1 in the final, adding to his victories in 2024 and 2025 to become the first player in the tournament’s history to win three consecutive titles.
The round-robin stage produced competitive matchups, with Elliot Slessor finishing at the top with five wins, followed closely by Selby with four. Si Jiahui and Wu Yize each secured three wins, rounding out the top four who advanced to the semi-finals.
In the semi-finals, Selby dominated Si Jiahui 3–0, displaying his tactical precision and break-building skills, while Wu Yize edged out Elliot Slessor 3–2 in a closely contested match. The final saw Selby take control early, maintaining composure and scoring crucial breaks to seal a 3–1 victory over Wu Yize, securing his place in snooker history.
