Defending champion Judd Trump delivered a dominant performance with five breaks over 75, including a closing 100, to defeat Joe O'Connor 5-0. Neil Robertson, despite making four centuries, was pushed to a decider by Hammad Miah but eventually won 5-4, setting up a clash with Trump on Thursday.
Shaun Murphy maintained his impressive form, recording his second 5-0 victory of the tournament by defeating Thepchaiya Un-Nooh. The Masters champion has yet to lose a frame in Germany and will face Yuan Sijun in his next match.
