LPGA ,TMRW Sports Launch Women’s Tech Golf League

Posted : 07 January 2026

The LPGA and TMRW Sports revealed plans on Tuesday to introduce a women’s version of the tech-infused indoor golf league created by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. Scheduled to launch in winter 2026–27, following the upcoming LPGA season, the Women’s TGL (WTGL) will feature the world’s leading female golfers competing in fast-paced team match play at the SoFi Centre in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

WTGL will combine virtual and real-life elements. Players will hit shots at a five-story-high simulator screen before moving to a 360-degree rotating green, allowing for varied hole designs and dynamic gameplay. The format aims to offer an engaging and visually exciting experience for both athletes and fans.

“Partnering with TMRW Sports on WTGL reflects our belief that innovation can help the game reach new fans and create greater visibility for LPGA athletes,” said LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler. “I’ve seen how new formats can engage audiences while showcasing both athlete personality and performance, and WTGL brings that spirit of innovation to the women’s game. It creates another global stage for our athletes, helping fans connect more deeply with them and continuing to elevate the visibility and growth of women’s golf.”

The original TGL, a primetime golf league featuring six teams of four players competing in a fast-paced version of golf, was founded in 2022 by Woods and McIlroy’s TMRW Sports in partnership with the PGA Tour. The league debuted last year at the SoFi Centre, and a seventh team is set to join in 2027.

“Since the launch of TGL a year ago, TMRW Sports has been putting the pieces in place to create a women’s league featuring the best players in the world,” said Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports. “Now, along with the LPGA and its athletes, we look forward to creating a stage to help showcase the stars of the LPGA.”
