Lottie Woad Wins LPGA Queen City Championship for Second Tour Title

Posted : 18 May 2026

England’s Lottie Woad produced a composed final-round performance to win the LPGA Queen City Championship in Ohio on Sunday, sealing a two-shot victory and her second career LPGA Tour title. The 22-year-old signed off with a one-under-par 69 at Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati to finish the tournament on 12 under par.

Woad had set up her triumph with an impressive third round of five-under 65, which gave her a three-shot cushion heading into the final day. She started strongly on Sunday with two birdies in her opening five holes, briefly extending her advantage at the top of the leaderboard.

Her momentum was interrupted by a double bogey on the sixth hole, but she responded well, steadying her round and finishing the back nine level par to maintain control of the tournament. Despite the pressure, she managed to stay ahead of her challengers and secure the title.

South Korea’s Ryu Hae-ran finished in second place on 10 under par after a strong final round of 67, but could not close the gap on the English leader. Japan’s Miyu Yamashita delivered one of the best rounds of the day with a six-under 64, finishing third on nine under after a late surge that included four consecutive birdies.

Woad’s victory continues her rapid rise in the professional game. Just a year ago, she was competing at the US collegiate level before breaking through with her first LPGA win at the Scottish Open last July. Her latest success underlines her growing consistency on the tour.

Speaking after the win, Woad said this victory felt even more rewarding than her first, noting the increased level of competition on the LPGA Tour. She credited her accuracy off the tee and strong ball-striking as key factors in managing difficult windy conditions throughout the tournament.

China’s Yin Ruoning finished fourth on eight under, while the United States’ Amanda Doherty and South Korea’s Ko Jin-young shared fifth place on seven under after solid closing rounds.
