Linn Grant Clinches Annika at Pelican Title with Dominant Three-Shot Victory

Posted : 17 November 2025

Sweden’s Linn Grant produced a composed and clinical performance on Sunday, shooting a five-under-par 65 to secure the LPGA Annika at Pelican championship by three shots ahead of American Jennifer Kupcho. Grant completed the week at Belleair, Florida, with a 19-under total of 261, becoming the first Swedish player to lift the trophy at the tournament named in honour of Swedish legend Annika Sorenstam.

Reflecting on the significance of the moment, Grant described the victory as deeply meaningful, noting how special it felt to triumph in an event celebrating one of her country’s greatest players. The 26-year-old, whose only previous LPGA win came in Toledo in 2023, now adds a second LPGA title to her résumé along with six Ladies European Tour victories. She is also the 29th different player to win on the LPGA Tour this season and the fourth Swede to do so.

Grant started the final round with a one-shot advantage over Kupcho and quickly built momentum with birdies at the second, fifth, seventh, and ninth holes. Her strong front nine helped her turn with a three-stroke cushion, though Kupcho stayed in contention with four birdies of her own, offset by two bogeys.

The duel continued on the closing stretch. Grant added another birdie at the par-five 14th, while Kupcho responded with a birdie at the 15th to stay within reach. However, Grant’s birdie on the par-four 17th gave her enough breathing room to absorb a bogey at the 18th—her first since Friday’s opening hole—and still finish comfortably on top.

Mexico’s Gaby Lopez secured third place with a final-round 65 to finish at 265. England’s Charley Hull carded a stunning 63 to tie for fourth on 266 alongside Americans Auston Kim and Lucy Li. Brooke Matthews provided one of the day’s highlights, making the first hole-in-one of her life at the 140-yard 12th using a nine-iron. She posted a 65 and finished at 268, still in disbelief at her milestone shot.
