Kim Le Court-Pienaar Claims Stage 6 as Tour de France Femmes Heads for Mont Ventoux

Kim Le Court-Pienaar delivered a brilliant performance to win Stage 6 of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, mastering the demanding Classics-style route from Montbrison to Tournon-sur-Rhône.

The AG Insurance-Soudal rider bridged across to a select lead group before producing a powerful finishing sprint to secure her second career stage victory in the race. Cédrine Kerbaol finished second, while Puck Pieterse completed the podium in third.

The stage unfolded with the overall contenders closely marking one another throughout the rolling terrain, leaving little room for major changes in the general classification. The notable exception was Elisa Longo Borghini, who joined the decisive breakaway and climbed into fourth place overall after an aggressive display.

Despite the attacks, Marlen Reusser successfully defended the yellow jersey and continues to lead the race by 12 seconds over Demi Vollering, with Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney sitting third at 1 minute and 17 seconds.

Le Court-Pienaar's victory further strengthened her reputation as one of the peloton's most explosive finishers, overcoming adversity during the stage before timing her sprint perfectly to edge her rivals. The Mauritian champion celebrated another memorable Tour success, while the main favourites conserved their strength ahead of the race's toughest challenge.

Attention now turns to Friday's queen stage, a demanding 146.8-kilometre route from La Voulte-sur-Rhône to the legendary summit of Mont Ventoux. The iconic mountain is expected to play a decisive role in the battle for the yellow jersey as the leading contenders prepare for the Tour's biggest climbing test.
