South Korea's Kim A-lim secured a wire-to-wire victory at the LPGA Tournament of Champions, fending off a late charge from top-ranked Nelly Korda. Kim, who had a three-stroke lead entering the final round, shot a five-under-par 67 to finish at 20-under 268.
The victory marked her third LPGA title, and her second in just three months after winning the Lotte Championship in November.
Korda, who had won seven LPGA titles in 2024, shot a 65 to finish two shots behind Kim at 270. Despite her strong final round, the 26-year-old couldn’t catch Kim, who remained composed under pressure.
Kim responded with key birdies on the back nine, including a crucial 12-foot birdie putt at the 16th and a final 18-foot birdie at the 18th to seal the win.
Korda’s performance left her feeling satisfied, though she noted a few missed putts that could have altered the outcome.
The tournament also saw impressive performances from other players. Sweden's Linn Grant finished third with a 273 total, while Australian Minjee Lee made a remarkable comeback with a record-breaking 10-under 62 to tie for fourth with South Korea's Ko Jin-young.
Kim's victory, despite some early setbacks, showed her resilience as she navigated through a tense final stretch, managing to maintain her lead and clinch the title.
