Junior Yellow Greens Begin ICC U19 World Cup Qualifiers in Rwanda

Nigeria's Junior Yellow Greens have begun their campaign at the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier Division 2 in Rwanda, with the team aiming to secure promotion and keep alive its hopes of reaching the next ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup.

The Nigerian squad will compete against Uganda, Ghana, hosts Rwanda, Mozambique and Sierra Leone during the tournament. Only the top-performing teams will progress to Division 1, where the race for Africa's qualification places for the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup will continue.

Captain Rahmon Ali will lead the Junior Yellow Greens throughout the competition. The young side enters the tournament determined to build on Nigeria's recent progress in youth cricket and deliver consistent performances against some of the continent's strongest emerging teams.
