India, Sri Lanka Shine on Day 13 of ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026

Day 13 of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026 saw dominant performances from India and Sri Lanka, highlighting the growing intensity of the Super Six stage.

India Under-19 produced a commanding display against Zimbabwe, winning by an emphatic 204 runs. Batting first, India set a formidable total, anchored by Vihaan Malhotra’s unbeaten century. Their bowlers then dismantled the Zimbabwe batting lineup, leaving the hosts struggling to match the total.

The victory reinforces India’s credentials as tournament favorites and propels them to the top of Super Six Group 2, enhancing their chances of reaching the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Under-19 secured a strong 106-run victory over Ireland. Posting 267 for 5, the Sri Lankan batting lineup showed depth and resilience, with Vimath Dinsara playing a composed innings in the middle order.

Their bowlers maintained relentless pressure, restricting Ireland to 161 and sealing a comfortable win. This result also helped Sri Lanka climb the Super Six rankings and put them in a strong position to advance further.

The Super Six phase is now intensifying, with every match influencing which teams will reach the knockout stages. Alongside India and Sri Lanka, other sides including England, Pakistan, and Afghanistan are vying for semifinal spots, making each fixture increasingly crucial.
