Honorable Daunemigha applauds Major General Gagariga for grassroots volleyball development

Honorable Famous Daunemigha, the South-South Representative in the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), expressed his appreciation for the commendable efforts of Major General Gagariga in fostering grassroots volleyball development.

 

Speaking at the Yenagoa Invitational Volleyball Challenge 2024 in Bayelsa State, Honorable Daunemigha highlighted the event's significance in contributing positively to the growth of volleyball in the nation.

 

The South-South Representative emphasized Major General Gagariga's substantial investment in grassroots volleyball, acknowledging him as a pivotal figure in Nigerian volleyball development.

 

"The Yenagoa Invitational Volleyball Challenge serves as a testament to Major General Taritimiye Gagariga's dedication to the advancement of volleyball in our country," stated Honorable Daunemigha.

 

Observing the diverse representation of the entire nation in Bayelsa State through the Challenge, he noted, "The event has provided a platform for young volleyball players to exhibit their skills and talents."

 

Expressing optimism about the future, Honorable Daunemigha remarked, "It would not be surprising to witness many of these players ascending to top-tier competitions such as the Nigeria Premier League, National Division 1, and 2 Volleyball Leagues."

 

In addition, Honorable Daunemigha commended the support of Bayelsa State Governor, Sen Douye Diri, who played a crucial role in the success of the Volleyball Challenge. He recognized the governor's commitment to sports by providing Appearance Grants, significantly aiding the participating teams with logistical support.

 

As a final note, Honorable Daunemigha hinted at more volleyball competitions in the South-South region during the second quarter of the year, promising an exciting continuation of the vibrant sports scene.
